I am a recent graduate from UMass Amherst with a passion for behavioral research. I am particularly driven by the challenge of implementing insightful research methodology to investigate complex questions. I believe this pursuit is best accomplished through technology, statisics, teamwork, and a desire to always dig deeper.
Reviewed and synthesized literature. Submitted grant proposal and awarded grant. Wrote and orally defended proposal to faculty committee. Executed statistical analyses. Will defend full thesis to committee and deliver oral presentations of research.
Managed participant recruitment and scheduling, and performed risk assessments and interviews for a study on suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Analyzed study data through computational modeling techniques. Programmed several computer tasks (D-IAT Desktop, D-BIAT Desktop and mobile).
Aided in the development of a novel task to measure impulse-aggression. Organized data for several co-occuring longitudinal studies. Performed neurocognitive tasks on recently hospitalized adolesents.
Trained in consensual qualitative research techniques to code semi-structured interviews. Conducted literature reviews. Transcribed interviews for several mixed-method studies.
Assisted students in course selection and fulfillment of academic requirements. Provided University and departmental resources.
Fall 2016: Lead weekly review sessions that focused on clinical applications of the material for a specialized section of the course. Executed various classroom responsibilities, including exam proctoring.
Spring 2017: Facilitated exam review sessions. Coordinated undergraduate and graduate teaching assistants to manage assignments and grading for 500 students. Held office hours and proctored exams.
Taught effective testing strategies to students prepping for the GRE, SAT, ACT, and AP Statistics test. Assisted students and parents in setting and achieving goals. Worked with students both individually and in classroom settings.
Encouraged floor members to develop a livable, inclusing, and responsible community through individual relationships. Developed educational and social opportunities through creative programming. Enforced University policy to ensure a safe and welcoming place for all members of the residence hall community through effective crisis management. Applied integrated logists to influence radar systems earlier in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability, and economical ownership by the customer. Analyzed the radar repair process and implemented process changes to save $800,000+ annually.
